GENERAL RULES
Library users, if so requested by any library staff,
could leave cases, bags and similar articles belonging to him / her with
the staff on duty at the circulation desk at the main entrance. - All books and personal belongings must be shown to the staff at the library exits whenever required to do so.
Such articles or objects left with the staff shall be
entirely at the owners risk and shall not be under the responsibility of
the library staff. (library provided 8 lockers to use for any valuable
items)
The library staff shall have the power to with-hold
library materials from and refuse admission to the library of any user
who appears to be intoxicated or who neglects or refuses to comply with
library rules.
Library users shall be responsible for any damage or
lost incurred on any reading materials of facility in their charge and
shall be required to make good the loss or damage to the satisfaction of
the library staff or pay the current cost of the book.
Mutilation and theft of library books and materials are
offences punishable by law and in the case of Ministry of Health staff
are also disciplinary offences also. Appropriate action will be taken
by the Ministry of Health against offenders.
Please note that the library staff have the right to: - Ask users to leave the library if they are inappropriately dressed and / or are causing a disturbance.
- Remove any books, files, bags, food or any other personal belongings left on the reading tables.
Ask a non Ministry of Health staff to leave the library
unless he / she have a written application signed by their respective
Head of Organization.
No book may be removed from the library unless a loan has been secured.
All books must be shown to the library staff on duty before leaving the library.
The suspension of library users may be imposed for any breach of the library rules.
- Loss of library tickets will be imposed, first
replacement B$1.00, second replacement B$5.00 and subsequent replacement
and so on B$10.00.
