Roshima Haji Kamal was appointed as the CEO of Community Health in 2016. Roshima also had previous experiences and appointments as CEO in various other departments and services namely, Assistant CEO, Suri Seri Begawan Hospital (2007-2008), Assistant CEO, RIPAS Hospital (2008-2009) and Acting CEO, Department of Renal Services (2009-2016).
In her early years, she started the first Weight Management Program for obese people in the Belait District since 2004. During her time in the renal services, she establish the current Kidney Transplant Program in Brunei Darussalam in 2013 that offers a new lease on life for end stage renal failure patients and further Strengthened the Peritoneal Dialysis Program in Brunei Darussalam.
Roshima obtained her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Food Science & Nutrition from the National University of Malaysia in 1986 and later on continued to pursue her Master's degree Health Policy & Management from University Brunei Darussalam in 2007. She has also undergone the NIHA Healthcare Leadership Program, NUS, Singapore in 2012 and the Executive Development Program for Senior Government Officers at ILIA, Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
