Dr Edwin Lim, Chyi Chyun is the current Medical Superintendent for PIHM Hospital, Temburong (2016). While fulfilling this duty, he is also a Consultant Histopathologist and the currently the Head of Pathology RIPAS Hospital. He was also a Consultant Histopathologist, Ipswich Hospital, U.K. (2009-2011). He is a member of many professional boards and committees such as a Member of the Maternal & Child Death Surveillance Committee, Brunei, a Member of the Post Graduate Training Board, Brunei, a Member of the Ethics Committee, Brunei and a Member of the Board of Visitors for Mental Health, Brunei.
Dr Edwin is a Brunei Government Scholar and once received the Highest Irish Leaving Certificate Result Award in 1994. He honed his skills through work placements in various organisation and institutions. Did his Pre-reg at Pre-reg HO surgery Hereford County Hospital (2000), UK and Pre-reg HO medicine James Paget Hospital, UK (2001). SHO Surgical rotation James Paget Hospital, UK (2001-2003) and SHO Histopathology Leeds Teaching Hospitals, UK (2003-2004) and finally Specialist Registrar Histopathology, Eastern Deanery (Cambridge, Norwich, Ipswich) (2004-2009).
He has a MA Physiological Sciences, University College Oxford in 1997 and a MBBS, Guy's Kings & St Thomas's Hospitals, London in 2000. He also has a CCST & Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists, UK (2009). Dr Edwin has also published a paper, (1. B.Fermor, J.Urban, D.Murray, A.Pocock, E.Lim, M.Francis and J.Gage 1998) titled Proliferation and collagen synthesis of human anterior cruciate ligament cells in vitro.
