Fuad Wajdi was promoted to Head of Internal Audit, Ministry of Health in 2016. Before this promotion, he has made many contributions in his previous work placement at the Audit Department, Prime Minister’s Office (2010-2016). He has audited Government’s annual financial statements, government organization and companies including, Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration Department, Brunei Muara District Office, Semaun Holdings Sdn Bhd, Brunei Economic Development Board dan Brunei International Air Cargo Centre.
He was also appointed as Head of Religious Division for Persatuan Kebajikan dan Sukan (PEKA) and had opportunities to be Liaison Officer to foreign senior officials for several ASEAN-related events. In recognizing his capabilities, Fuad was given the opportunity to act senior posts in his previous division. He is also an active member in many committees such as a secretary of the Strategic Plan Committee who devised the department's strategic plan for 2013-2018 (2011-2012) and a member of the ASEANSAI Secretary Committee when Audit Department chaired ASEANSAI for the term 2013-2015.
He has a B.A. (Honours) (Economic and Social Studies) Accounting and Finance from University of Manchester (2008) and has completed seven out of fourteen Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) papers and is currently looking to complete the remaining seven more papers. To date he continues to partake in key training courses relating to his field.
