Zihan, was appointed Head if Nursing Services, Ministry of Health in 2016. She is also currently Head Secretariat for the Nursing Board Office since 2010. Prior to her current appointment, she has made work placements in major clinical areas in and outside the ministry such as Emergency Department, Medical Ward, Surgical Ward, Community Nursing, Pediatric Ward and Gleneagles Cardiac Centre JPMC.
During her time in the Ministry, Zihan had made many contributions include the production of 4 books on Code of Professional Conduct, Code of Ethics, Core Competency Conduct and Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives in Brunei Darussalam, initiating the first Health Education Program in Cardiac Centre for clients and their families and the development of processes in the new Registration Regulations for nurses.
She has a Diploma in Nursing, (MERIT) from PAPRSB College of Nursing Brunei Darussalam (1997-2000) and a Bachelor of Nursing, University of Queensland, Australia (2006-2008). She continued to complete her Master of Nursing majoring in Management and a sub in Clinical Management from University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia (2013-2014). She also has a Certificate in Teaching and Assessment 2005, PAPRSB College of Nursing, Brunei.
