DRUG-RELATED PSYCHOSIS
CONDITION
Drug abuse can cause symptoms similar to mental illness. The most common condition is 'psychosis related to drug abuse". This psychosis can last from a few days to a several months. Many drugs can cause this, including AMPHETAMINES (SYABU), COCAINE, CANNABIS (GANJA), GUM/GLUE SNIFFING, HEROIN. Other drugs such as some controlled medications (cough medicine, sleeping pills), steroids (often used for body-building), or diet pills containing amphetamines, have also been reported to cause psychosis as a side effect.

Drug abuse is an offence in Brunei.
Any suspected case should be reported to Narcotics Control Bureau
