Who is a Health Education Officer?
A health Education Officer (HEO) is someone
who is: -
Responsible towards the Director of
Health Services and Head of Division
-
Preparing annual plan of action which
includes activities and training
conducted by the division
- Being
responsible for planning, implementing
and progress of health promotional
programs according to priority or as
advised by the Director or Head of
Division
- Co-ordinating
and organizing health exhibitions such
as campaign and road shows
- Co-ordinating
and / or delivering pre-arranged or
requested health talks, lectures or
health forum

Preparation of health educations
materials for printing such as posters,
leaflets, multimedia materials or
articles for local newspapers,
newsletters and mass media programmes
-
Assisting in the production of
printed materials for divisions within
the Ministry of Health
-
Training health personnel's and other
stake-holders in areas related to health
education and promotion
-
Ensuring health education materials are
up date and relevant
- Prepare
monthly activity reports and also
detailed reports on health education
activities performed

these partnership to be better able to
promote health

health promoting e.g. in Schools and
Workplaces

Developing strategic approaches in
improving health as well as ways of
intervention
- Assist
to developing the personnel, emotional,
and social skills and abilities of lay
and professional people in order for
them to maximize their own health and
build health promoting capacity for
those around them.

Developing ways of providing appropriate
and accurate information about health
issues, and what can be done to improve
health.

Managing specific health promoting
projects in order to ensure they are
ethical, effective and efficiently
delivered.
- Last

General Academic Requirements - Possess
a degree qualification in the field of '
Health Promotion or Education' or a
degree in ' Bachelor of Health Sciences'
or 'Bachelor of Science (BSc)' or
similar qualifications recognized by the
government of His Majesty The Sultan and
Yang Di Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam
(Any other higher qualifications in the
field is an advantage)
--OR--
- Possess
qualifications in BDTVEC/BTEC Higher
National Diploma [HND] in the field of
Health Promotion and Education OR have
similar qualifications and has been in
service with the government of His
Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di Pertuan
of Brunei Darussalam within C3 salary
scale or similar for at least 5 years.
Your Future Prospects With Us... -
Master in Health Promotion, Master in
Public health or Master in health
Education for duration of 1.5-2 years

PhD in Health Promotion and Eduxation,
PhD in Public health
