WHY I WANT TO BE A HEALTH INSPECTOR?
I want to help in improving the environment
and protect human health, besides to be part
of the Environmental Health Services.
TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES -
Under the supervision of Medical Officer
of Health or Senior Health Inspectorate
-
Involves on the works of public health
including:
- environment health;
- food hygiene
- control of communicable diseases and
- port sanitation -
May require to work in camps and rural
areas involving rural sanitation vector
and malaria control.
REQUIREMENTS -
Citizen of His Majesty The Sultan of
Brunei Darussalam
-
Have knowledge on the Islamic
Principles, culture and tradition of
Brunei Malay including knowing the
social and economic development and
politics of Brunei Darussalam.

Pass with BDVTVEC Ordinary National
Certificate [ONC] in Science or
equivalent and pass at least 3 Brunei
GCE ‘O’ Level including Science or
Mathematics.

Having any other higher qualification in
the field is an advantage.

Capable and effective to communicate in
Malay and English both written and
spoken is an advantage.
Successful candidates will be trained
locally for eighteen (18) months prior to
undergoing two (2) years professional
training abroad to obtain Diploma in Health
Surveying, Royal Society in Health
Inspectors (London) or any course set by
Ministry of Health.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Upon completion and graduation, you will be
promoted and confirm as a Health Inspector.
You will receive ongoing training and
development.
You are also given the opportunity to
undertake B. Sc. In Environmental Health;
Air population management and Control; Food
Science / Food Technology; Occupational
Health and Safety and Risk Safety
