The Biomedical Research & Ethics Unit (BREU) was established in January 2023 to strengthen medical research, bioethics, and health data governance in Brunei Darussalam.

Our mission is to enhance biomedical research by implementing ethical policies and governance frameworks, contributing to a holistic healthcare system that promotes equity and well-being for all.
