PSYCHIATRY UNIT, PMMPMHAMB HOSPITAL, TUTONG

Psychiatric Unit, PMMPMHAMB Hospital, Tutong District is the unit responsible for looking after the mental health for the population in Tutong District. The unit began in the 1990s and provides an outpatient clinic and community mental health services.

PROVISION OF SERVICES

1. OUTPATIENT CLINIC

ThIS clinic is held every Saturday during office hours, for patients with scheduled follow-up appointments and new case referrals from other medical practitioners.

2. DEPOT MEDICATION INJECTION CLINIC                      

ThIS clinic is held every Monday during office hours.

3. COMMUNITY PSYCHIATRY

The service operates every Tuesday until Thursday during office hours only. Community Psychiatry includes:-

• Home visits
• Work place visits (including school when necessary)
• Home depot medication administration (for patients who are unable to attend to the clinic due to specific reasons).
• Home function assessments.

• Medication compliance monitoring.

EMERGENCY / URGENT CASES ARE ADVISED TO ATTEND THE

ACCIDENT & EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
