In 1957 the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Act (Cap 112) was passed and it provides for the registration of medical practitioners and dentists in Brunei Darussalam. The Act then established the Brunei Medical Board which maintains a register of all registered medical practitioners and dentists in Brunei Darussalam.
